Moody’s ESG Solutions Appoints Rahul Ghosh as Head of ESG Outreach & Research
Moody’s Corporation business unit Moody’s ESG Solutions Group (MESG) announced the appointment of Rahul Ghosh to the newly created role of Managing Director of ESG Outreach & Research. In his new position, Ghosh will be responsible for overseeing MESG’s outreach activities with the global sustainability stakeholder community and for managing the group’s thought leadership. In addition, he will lead the production of MESG’s research focused on ESG trends and issues relating to dual materiality and multi-stakeholder performance as well as themes ranging from social equality and biodiversity to sustainable supply chains.
Ghosh joined Moody’s Investors Service in 2014 and has held a variety of roles, most recently serving as Senior Vice President – Global Emerging Markets, where he was responsible for the origination and publication of thematic research on global emerging market credit trends, and led Moody’s EM outreach strategy with market intermediaries and other relevant institutions. He has also held the role of Senior Vice President – Environmental, Social & Governance, where he was responsible for coordinating thematic and educational research and outreach initiatives on ESG for the company. He has represented Moody’s on the UN Principles for Responsible Investment’s (PRI) advisory committee on credit ratings, and has presented on the impact of climate change on sovereign creditworthiness at the G20 Green Finance Study Group.
