Agricultural sciences company FMC Corporation announced today that it has appointed Dr. Karen Totland as its new Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO).  Totland will step into her new role January 1, 2021, reporting directly to Mark Douglas, President and CEO. The company also announced that it has named Thaisa Hugenneyer to be Vice President, Procurement and Global Facilities, taking over procurement responsibilities from Totland as she moves to focus full time on FMS’s sustainability and ESG efforts.

Totland has been with FMC for 10 years, and currently serves as the company’s Vice President, Procurement, Sustainability and Global Facilities. Prior to joining FMC, she worked at fragrance and flavor company Firmenich, as the company’s VP Global Purchasing. Totland also serves as chairperson of the American Red Cross Eastern Pennsylvania Region Board of Directors.
